Installation

Ten minutes, one screwdriver, power off.

Before you start: turn off the breaker and test with a voltage tester. If your box is metal, shallow (under 2.25"), or has aluminum wiring, stop and call an electrician. Every product comes with a printed guide in the box.

Toggle switch, single pole

1. Remove the old plate and switch.
2. Note which wire goes where. Take a photo.
3. Connect the hot wire to one brass terminal, the load wire to the other brass terminal, and the ground to the green screw.
4. Fold the wires back into the box and screw the switch in.
5. Fit the plate with the brass screws provided.
6. Breaker on. Test.

3-way

The common terminal (marked COM) takes the hot wire on one switch and the load wire on the other. The two travelers go to the two brass terminals on each switch. If your old switch was a 3-way, the wires go back exactly where they were.

Dimmer

Same as single pole, plus: check that the bulbs are dimmable, check that the total wattage is under 150W LED / 300W incandescent, and never put two dimmers on the same circuit. No neutral wire needed.

Wall plate only

Two screws. That's it.

Cabinet hardware

Knobs use a single 3/16" hole. Pulls use two holes at the center-to-center distance shown on the product. Screws included are break-away for doors from 0.75" to 1" thick.
