Installation
- Use the holes you have. Our knobs use the standard single 3/16" hole; pulls use standard centre spacings. Drilling new doors? A cabinet jig keeps every hole in line.
- Fit the 8-32 screw from inside the door and thread on the brass. The break-away screw is scored for 3/4" and 1" doors: snap off the excess with pliers if the door is thinner.
- Hand-tighten, then a quarter turn with a screwdriver. Do not use a drill driver on solid brass threads.

A solid brass bar pull that sits comfortably in the hand and lines up with the holes already drilled in your doors. Four standard center-to-center sizes, 0.4 inch diameter, 8-32 screws included for doors from 0.75 to 1 inch thick. Same three finishes as our switches, plates and knobs.

Why solid brass
Most "brass" cabinet hardware is plated zinc: a thin colour on a soft base that wears through at the grip point within a few years. Ours is turned from solid C360 brass bar, so it has the weight, the sharp machined detail and the depth of colour that only solid metal gives. It can be refinished, it will not flake, and it matches our switches and plates because it is made from the same brass, finished the same way.

Which size?
Measure centre of one hole to centre of the other, not end to end. 3 inch and 3.75 inch (96 mm) are the most common on US and European cabinets and suit drawers and standard doors. 5 inch on wide drawers, 6.25 inch on pantry and appliance panels. Most kitchens mix pulls on drawers with knobs on doors.
Finish & care
Unlacquered Brass arrives bright and darkens where it is touched; that living patina is the point. Aged Brass is hand-darkened to a deep bronze tone and stays that way. Satin Brass is evenly brushed, pale and matte. Wipe unlacquered brass with a dry cloth only; aged and satin with a damp cloth. No polish, no chemicals. Every finish is made against the same master sample, so switches, plates and cabinet hardware ordered months apart still match.

Installation
Wires like the switch it replaces.
Standard US box spacing, standard screws, standard terminals. Any electrician has done this a hundred times, and a confident DIYer can do it in ten minutes with the breaker off. Every order ships with a printed wiring guide, and if your box looks unusual you can email a photo to info@oxidehardware.com before you order.
1. Breaker off, test the circuit. 2. Swap the mechanism, wire for wire. 3. Screw on the brass plate, power on.
